Willowspire Studios

At Willowspire Studios, I create handcrafted miniature replicas of real homes and buildings using wood, clay and traditional materials.

Whether it's a family home, childhood house, cottage, farmhouse, wedding venue or another building with personal meaning, each commission is built by hand from photographs, with a focus on capturing the character and details that make the original special.

Every miniature begins with a custom-built structure before details are added by hand. Brickwork is created from individually cut clay bricks, windows and frames are made from scratch, and roof tiles are individually formed and weathered to reflect the character of the original building. Wherever possible, I use materials and techniques inspired by those found in real-world construction.

Each commission requires over 50 hours of work, with every stage completed by hand, from the initial structure through to the final finishing details.

Rather than creating exact architectural scale models, my aim is to create artistic miniature interpretations that capture the spirit, character and individuality of a building. The materials, textures and handcrafted nature of the process naturally give each piece its own character, resulting in a miniature that feels authentic, lived-in and unique rather than a perfectly scaled reproduction.

A miniature home can be a unique keepsake, a thoughtful gift, or simply a way to preserve a place that means something to you.

Original Builds

Alongside custom commissions, I also create original miniature buildings inspired by the British countryside, historic architecture and selected film-inspired designs.

These pieces allow me to explore different styles, materials and techniques while continuing to celebrate the buildings and places that inspire my work.
